Ya know I still can't believe that people hate bethesda

When it’s an endless circle jerk I think it’s disgusting and counter productive.

But when it’s valid criticism I think it’s important for them to listen.

I love Bethesda, I fell in love with BGS games back in Daggerfall and then when Bethesda Softworks the publisher spread its wings I’ve loved all of their studios with Arkane and id making some of the best games I’ve played.

I also was incredibly disappointed in their release of fallout 76. I feel that it has damaged the reputation of the brand, even though it currently stands today as a great game. For a lot of gamers that first impression is hard to change.

They did point to the no man’s sky “model” as the route they wanted to take it, but I feel like as a professional and experienced video game company / publisher they should have spent the extra year or two to make the game actually decent as a starting point. Like imagine if Fallout 76 released when wastelanders did.

You would have had a much better reception, and the company has both the finances and the knowledge to know that is the right decision to make.

FO76 just felt like a low point at release because it felt like a cash grab. It’s great that they’re committed to it, and again as it stands today it’s an excellent game imo.

But I’m sure if Starfield is shown off and it’s really well done most gamers will get over it. Remember when everyone turned their backs on Blizzard because of the Hong Kong thing?

Now we have the Shadowlands expansion coming out this year that has a lot of folks singing its praise and we have Diablo 4 on the horizon which also has a lot of praise sung at it.

I think the same thing will happen with Starfield.
