Your statement that Malaysia has problems because of creeping theocracy (lol no it always had a pretty large muslim majority) is what I was trying to counter. I made that statement in an effort to "disprove" the notion that that is Malaysia's only problem. The problem is multifaceted, but you seem to want to deny that. Racism, transphobia, homophobia isn't suddenly removed because you take religion out of the equation. That's really lazy thinking. I don't get why people do it. And no I'm not implicating you I'm simply saying you'll be surprised to find that there are atheists who spout the same homophobic, transphobic, sexist, racist, bullshit you hear from religious people. You know why? Because I was surprised that they existed.
