What did I say that was “hateful?” Not idolizing Hannah is not hate. I just don’t understand why people worship the ground she walks on. She didn’t do anything remarkable and 90% of the love she gets is because she got cheated on. Her following wouldn’t be nearly what it is now had she not made a terrible decision by choosing Jed. She makes poor decisions, consistently and proudly falls short of the standards she sets for herself, and has no remarkable contributions to society aside from being a source of entertainment. I fail to see how and why anyone would raise their daughters and tell them to be like Hannah. She’s not a bad person. She’s not a bad role model. She’s just a very average person. There are very few people in the would that are exemplary and worth looking up to as a role model. We throw that word around too loosely. Hannah is just a person who was on TV. That’s it. I don’t hate her. I just haven’t seen her do anything worth praise. Exhibiting basic competence as an adult is not commendable, it’s what is expected. I won’t praise anyone for doing what they should do.
