literally every professional player who plays the game at a high level for a living, it's actually the complete opposite.

I tried make the counterargument to that elsewhere in this chain, just to try to add clarity to both perspectives.

I think you make a solid point, and I'm really just devil's advocating because your point isn't bad. That said, I do think there are multiple "states of a character" depending on the tier of skill level. A pro has no idea what a character is like in lower tiers of play and his opinion is completely detached from how his changes might effect silver level players.

I don't think pros usually consider that quick match is a thing and that healers aren't even in many of the games being played in QM.

The pro scene wouldn't exist without the casuals. The normal players are the ones making the game financially viable.
