I see where you're coming from and I think it's just that for better or worse, fans have "expectations" of their favorite artist to produce a certain way. Go on any YC music video that they've released recently and a top comment will be "bring back trap music" or something of the sort. I get it. For me tho, I LOVE that they are diversifying the genres of music they are playing. The new singles they've released for New Blood are soft, and even many of the tracks on Los Amsterdam were softer (more future bass, less trap). I think it shows that they are evolving and keeping an open mind; PLUS, it's not like YC has completely ditched their fan base. Within the past year they dropped ATM Vol 4 AND released Kaolo Pt 4, which fans have been screaming for for a while. The way I read it, they're trying to gain more mass appeal while still staying true to their fans. TRYING to find the right balance. I'm not gonna knock them for it; I'll support them so long as they don't pull stupid shit like premiering Bhad Bhabie at EDC. I love that they're doing what they please.
