Because it's kinda like saying "Obama never closed Guantanamo Bay, it doesn't matter whether or not he tried, what matters is the end result, therefore Obama is bad." so I do think thought process matters. It's pretty clear to me that Trump was never an establishment candidate, and it doesn't make any sense why he would be either, he was constantly lied to and threatened by the establishment. But you're right in that his intentions don't really matter, the end result is still the same. The fact that Trump wasn't part of the establishment, but just too stupid to see the truth doesn't make him a better president, it just makes him bad in a different way. But who cares? He's gone now and he went out like a coward in the end.
