Yes, Another Trade Idea: Cavaliers - Heat - Bucks

Lateral on paper but potential upside considering other factors.

Cavs the only team among the three that is legitimately contending for a Championship, this season and next. LeBron has rapport with Bosh. Bosh has shown that he understands "the secret" to winning, i.e. sacrifice. Though he's not as good a shooter as Love, he's arguably a better scorer. Plus, he's an above-average outside shooter for his size and position(s). Bosh is also a better defender than Love. Khris Middleton is a more reliable scorer than Shumpert, though Shumpert is probably the better perimeter defender. Green could provide perimeter defense and outside shooting off the bench. Cavs assume McRoberts' overweight contract from the Heat - but McRoberts is a skilled passer who could facilitate better ball movement.

Cavaliers' new starting lineup: Irving-Middleton-LeBron-Thompson-Bosh Bench: Smith-Green-McRoberts-Varejao-Williams, etc.

Never know with Riley, but Dragic's performance with the Heat has not matched his sizable contract so I'm assuming he's expendable. If Dragic doesn't complement Wade, or vice versa, why keep him? Perhaps Dragic will improve if Wade leaves Miami after this season? Even so, that would require Wade leaving his beloved franchise. Is that likely to occur? I don't know. The Heat and Wade have been loyal to each other. Would Wade take another hometown discount? Would the Heat offer Wade an overweight contract?

Bosh has played well for the Heat, shouldering more responsibility following LeBron's departure. But what purpose does he serve going forward, a string of First or Second Round Playoff exits leaving the Heat with middling draft positions?

The Heat might be better off rebuilding now, leveraging their actual assets instead of solely relying on Free Agency and the Draft. Justice Winslow was a great pick for the Heat, and I assume his fall on draft night came as a surprise to the Heat. So pair Winslow with Parker, and try out Carter-Williams. Contradicting a point I made earlier, the Heat would also dump long-term contracts for numerous expiring contracts in this trade, providing financial flexibility.

Essentially, for the Heat, Young Talent + FA $$$ + a better position in the upcoming draft and the one after.

The Bucks...I don't know. Bucks don't seem confident in MCW's ability to point the team toward the rarefied ring of contenders, now and in the future. Apparently the Bucks didn't think Brandon Knight was the answer either. Dragic is a better shooter than MCW and Knight. Dragic is a better dribble-drive player in totality, he can go to the hoop and kick it out or stop and drop a shot. But, he's older with a heavy contract.

Parker is a tough one, especially since he has played less than 50 NBA games, and at less than 100% health. Yet, is Parker or Love a better fit for the Bucks? Parker is the better fit in terms of youth. Love is arguably the better fit in terms of actual play on the floor. Love is a much better shooter than Parker, and a better scorer as of now. Love is also a better rebounder. Whiteside is going to be a RFA, so a gamble for the Bucks.

Bucks new starting lineup: Dragic-Shumpert-Giannis-Love-Whiteside Bench: Henson-Bayless-Plumlee-Ennis, Copeland, etc.
