When I was in graduate school, I had the opportunity to visit JRC and observe the methods being used. It was no surprise to me that there was literally no torture happening. I now work with severely autistic children, some of whom received ECT at JRC to correct severe self-harming behaviors such as trichotillomania. JRC has helped many thousands of children. Yes, there was that one person at JRC who tortured a child. It was horrible. I watched that video as part of my training as a mental health professional. We should all condemn such behavior.

Does one person have the power to magically transform literally all mental health professionals into crazed maniacs who torture children with electricity? No, of course not, because that is fucking stupid. Now, if you still think we are torturing children, you are just a selfish idiot.
