A young couple makes a video at a toxic lake, at 2:08 you can see a suspicious object in the lake. One year later the police confirm it was a suitcase with a human body inside. This video was used by police to locate the suitcase.

I wouldn't be surprised, but idk. Birds are much smaller than us and I'm certainly not advocating dunking your head in it lol.

Acidic mine drainage (which is essentially what this is) is harmful to humans but I think there's a significant lack of understanding of acids in a lot of it.

I imagine an average 20s something man could wade in and drag a suitcase with a body in it to the shore in a short enough time where the worst of it would be maybe a rash. They'd certainly want to rinse off, but that's about it.

I homebrew and use an acid based sanitizer called starsan which uses phosphoric acid and needs a pH under 3.5 to sanitize and I regularly submerge my hands and forearms in the solution. It makes my skin slick but it isn't even remotely uncomfortable unless it's exposed for a prolonged period of time.

PH is logarithmic though, each degree being ~10x stronger than the last and IIRC some underground water has been found at like -2 pH which I would not want to fuck with at all.
