Younger people of reddit. What are you tired of hearing from older generations?

This is my mom's go-to whenever things get heated over whatever smooth brain conservative talking point she struggles to repeat verbatim from a FOX News headline. "When I was your age I would have NEVER talked to my mother like that..."

Guess what? Your mother was a compassionate individual with a thirst for life and knowledge, who was capable of thinking critically and entertaining both sides of an argument. You are a largely socially withdrawn, uneducated, bitter person who allowed the world to pass them by 20+ years ago, votes with identity politics in mind, and can count on less than two hands the number of times they've left the area they were born + raised in. You didn't talk to your mother like that because you didn't have to.
