Is your Christmas Eve ruined already? If so, Why?

My aunt’s dad went to the hospital for breathing troubles and found out he has COVID in the hospital. Her and my uncle just visited him a day and a half before testing positive, so my mom cancelled Christmas because she doesn’t want to risk exposing my grandma. My uncle is accusing my mom of being an alarmist because they aren’t showing symptoms and tested negative on a rapid antigen test, but my mom insists it’s the right thing (and I agree).

My mom is in a shitty mood nonetheless as a result and started a fight with her partner by making a completely unnecessary remark about her partner’s grandkids. Caused the partner to be in tears.
