Your Daily Fasting Thread

Type: Water (and coffee, because sanity) Context: Started Sunday night, ongoing. Length: 112 hours so far Why: 42/36 hour fasts are a monthly discipline right now, trying to push it to see where it takes me.

This has been far easier than I thought it would be, I’d say that just before I hit the 72h mark it got pretty lousy emotionally, I was over the headache and lightheadeness, and I wasn’t hungry, but I wanted to eat... I didn’t, I decided to make it an early night and sleep it off after a ton of water. It’s been a breeze since then. And while I’m being dragged to brunch on sunday I think I’m going to stick with sparkling water. Let’s see what happens.

So far I’m pleasantly surprised with the results (I feel mentally sharp and it’s really easy to focus, though I’m having some troubling directing that attention efficiently... shiny things happen). I’m not concerned about when this fast will end, whenever my body starts sending the signals I’ll slowly break the fast as usual.
