Your Daily Sodium Intake #22!

Hello,

I just want to give you all an update (Warning, very long) on where we are with the series and tournaments as well as lay a more concrete foundation as far as our release schedule and a few upcoming events.

The first thing I want to mention is that we will now be releasing the three series we have on set days of the week,

All three of these series will be out at 1PM PST/3PM CST

Additionally there is a new series called Offensive Defensive.

The final announcement as far as DSI, CoR, T3C is that we have decided to move all the content to a new more organized website rather than just a YouTube page. You can still view the series on the YouTube page if that is how you want to do it but with the addition of new series happening every week we found the organization and presentation of YouTube alone to be lacking. Many of you may have noticed the NxR symbols in all of the videos and this stands for NexusRecall.

Our second topic is concerning the weekly ESL NA Bronze/Silver/Gold and Platinum/Diamond tournaments. There are two major changes going into effect this week.

  • The first is they will be an hour later in the day, now starting at 5PM PST/7PM CST, this is major because it allows a lot more players from the west coast to participate.

  • The second is we have partnered with SCV Rush to now run one unified league for the Platinum/Diamond division instead of the two separate ones we had before. This will allow for ESL to host and admin the tournament while still maintaining the top tier casting that SCV Rush is known for. This benefits both the players and viewers.

Also after lots of interest we would like to do an NA Gold-Plat 2v2 tournament as well, but this will have to wait until we have everything figured out on the 1v1 side of things.

Lastly I would like to talk about a new tournament that I have mentioned in the past but just recently had the time to plan. It will be a “wacky tournament” for fun and will begin in 2 weeks. The goal is to have it play out with each player having a goal in the round they are in. Some examples are,

  • Having to only attack after dropping your army in sight of the enemy as zerg
  • Must hallucinate 1/2 of your army size every time you initiate a battle as Protoss
  • Must have at least 3 floating buildings with your army in every attack as terran

This will be a smaller one to start off with 16 players, 12 invites and 4 players who get invited by finding this logo outside of the intro, in any one of our videos in the series we have put out and posting the time stamp link on this page 

It could appear as a replacement for a marauder missile or a widow mine shot or even minerals being held by an scv.

Thank you all for watching the series we have put out, and for joining the ESL tournaments I run, so far I have been having a lot of fun and the enthusiasm has been excellent!
