"Is this your first time?"

I've had the "is this your first time?" poke. That's what the passenger says to me after he explains, in somewhat of an amused manner, how he was watching me as I approached his location. See, on the way to him my GPS gave wrong directions up a one way street. Had to back track 1 block and then loop around to get to the passenger. So when he gets in the car he starts talking about how he saw me approaching and then turning around and coming up the adjacent block. I really couldn't understand why he's telling me this. I know what I did, because I was there when I did it. I didn't respond to him at all, just confirmed the address and then started the trip. Then he hits me with "Is this your first time?" and that's when I realized that he was an asshole trying to imply that I am clueless and / or stupid. So I say "No. Why do you ask?" and again he points out that he watched as I turned around and approached on the the adjacent block. At that point I start to ignore him until we reach the destination.
