I'm not going to offer my opinion just my experience. One of my exes from years ago would go into explicit detail about her horrible periods and I hated it. I'm not talking about pain and cramping I'm talking descriptions of her menstruating. It was just something about her personality and I accepted that as something she was going to do.

Last year I got visitation of my ten year old daughter and surprise! She got her period. And she didn't know how to care for herself and her mother would not help me. It was the pandemic so no family around either. Bottom line my ex pushing me out of my comfort zone has made me a much better single dad and man.
