Sorry, home now. It's pretty simple how I knew him for years but never knew. He wasn't my best friend at the time. I met him at Narcotics Anonymous. We are both former drug addicts. I would see him about once a month at random meetings and we would chat. We both played a lot of League of Legends so this was usually the topic of conversation. I saw him off and on for about two years.

Eventually we ended up with the same sponsor and started hanging out even more. One day he told me he was going to Colorado and I was like, "Oh wow, that's awesome! I love Colorado! Why are you going?"

And he kind of looked around, and then leaned in and was like, "I'm going to my sisters murder trail." And then proceeded to tell me the story. I was mostly in shock. I am an avid true crime reader and I followed that shooting when it happened. It totally blew my mind. In fact, so much so, I didn't believe him. I called another mutual friend after and was like, so, how have I never heard this?

Ever since then we've been really close. He's told me all sort of crazy stories about it. When he first went down there, right after it happened, he actually ended up sleeping with one of the girls that got shot. She got shot through bother her calves--one bullet. He also told me that he was the only one of the family members involved that voted against the death penalty.

I asked him if he did the news circuit, and he said he did not, but his mother went on Anderson Cooper right after it happened.

Anyway, if you have any questions I'd be glad to pass them along to him. I'll ask him if he's still going down there too--I really did forget the sentencing already happened. I think maybe he just decided to not go. He is very busy with work.

Welp, that's the story. You can believe it, or you can not. No skin off my back. Very sad, though. She had two little girls :/ He told me their Dad is a really stand up guy though--even though him and his sister were divorced. So there's that.
