Do you think your Reddit account represents you well as a person?

I'm not the person you were asking, but here's my take on it anyway... ;)

All my accounts across whatever social media exists are me. I don't have a persona, I don't say anything I wouldn't say in person, I agonize over if I'm using the right words online as much as I do in real life. However, having a comment history (for me, it's 10 fucking years) means there's a lot of stuff to sort through that might sound ugly or incompatible with a romantic interest without understanding the sum of my parts and why I would say such a thing. Sure, there's the okcupid profile you would theoretically link through, but still, that's a snapshot. I would hate for anything on reddit (or anywhere I've posted) to be taken out of context, but I think the chances of that are mitigated somewhat when the person is viewing my history through the same site/app where they found me. Even that context matters.

I wouldn't want to keep anything from a potential SO, but I'd also want that person to have some idea of who I really am before showing him my reddit account, facebook, instagram, whatever, just because they each get different displays of the reality that is me.
