You're given $100,000, but you can only spend it on the hobbies you currently have. How do you spend it?

When I was in high school I had a champion 100 and it wasn't even loud enough to keep up with my drummer when it was dimed. I thought the built-in effects were kinda lame (for me at least) and I never used them and built a little pedal board. My senior year I sold it and saved up and bought a used 4x10 60watt Fender Deville and holy shit thats the loudest and most versatile amp I've ever been plugged into.(I've played on better sounding ones though but my wallet cried when I saw price tags)

Tube driven amps really do have the best sound, natural response, and presence to punch through a band, that isn't just what the snobs say.

You dont have to go out and buy a vintage 1960's Marshall stack or a Dumble, there are plenty of amazing affordable tube amps that are budget friendly and are great do-it-all amps. They're a little more than a champion but worth every penny. Check out Fender hotrods and Blues Jr's, the Vox AC15, the Marshall DSL20... etc. There's a lot of them out there, when everything opens back out go to some music stores and try some out! Even if you are still learning they give you a big advantage and they're something you can grow with.

All I gotta say is keep playing and keep learning, if music is what you want to do, do it. Don't let life get in the way of it because you'll find yourself a few years later staring at your guitars and stuff wishing you would have kept playing and wondering if it would have gone anywhere.
