You're Not Mad at United Airlines; You're Mad at America

Maybe I'm less pissed off than I should be. You can't have a culture that willingly accepts the police having a certain amount of control over people and then get mad when they use that control. United called the police to have a man removed when he told the police 'No' after being asked to do something. In what other situation would these same people say 'Oh yeah, that's cool, he didn't listen to the cops, got the shit kicked out of him, but now I'm mad at the cops'. I don't think what happened to him was acceptable, but at the same time this is the level of control we have given the police. You can't ignore the rules when they suit you or someone you like. Anyone telling the police 'No' in any situation will lead to the same ass kicking. Why are we even blaming United? They are within their right to remove anyone from any plane for any reason, this guy didn't move and they called the cops. The cops beat the shit out of this guy, not United. Once again, this is the level of control we have allowed others to have control over us.
