I had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago. I got pulled over by German cops at the Dutch border while I still had about half a gram on me from my trip to Amsterdam (the only reason I still had it was that I decided to be responsible and wait until I got home to smoke it). Cops asked me where I was coming from business/personal etc. and then if I had any illegal drugs. I cooperated with the cops, answered their questions and was friendly, but told them I didn't have any drugs on me. They asked if they could search the car so I said yes, still being friendly. Unfortunately I hadn't hidden the weed at all, it was just in my backpack on the passenger seat, and although it was the last place they checked they found it. I knew I was fucked the moment they asked if they could check my bag, but I knew there wouldn't be much trouble for such a small amount and kept calm and joked about it when they found it. They took my details, my weed and my grinder (because there was residue in it), but let me keep all my other paraphernalia (papers, roaches, etc.). When they were done I wished them a good day and continued drove of with a friendly wave. I also picked up new weed as soon as I got home, which was the plan all along anyway.

I never heard anything about it after. I guess they just decided it wasn't worth the hassle to even charge me with anything since the charges would almost certainly be dropped due to insignificance anyway. Stupid thing is, they never would have found it if I'd put even a tiny bit of effort into hiding it. Oh well, at least they never stopped me any of the many times I crossed that border with larger amounts. I even crossed that border with a peyote cactus in the center console once
