Oh man, as a Canadian I condemn these types of acts, but this sort of reminds me of the story that emerged a few years ago about those two Muslim kids that said someone snatched the hijab off her head in a racially driven hate crime, garnering national attention and even a tweet from Trudeau himself... all for it to end in it being a hoax.

Now, look at this story. We have someone who is a racial minority with a screenshot of a text message and that’s all the context we got. I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart I am wrong, but who says this guy didn’t fabricate this with a friend for the publicity?

Again, I’m gonna assume positive intent here.. but I just don’t wanna be taken for an idiot again when the news publishes this type of content.
