Cancel culture is essentially people being offended that someone did something they don't like, so they in turn boycott that person or brand. It has literally nothing to do with standing up for what's right or protecting fellow human beings. Rather it's basically a way for people to feel like they're morally superior to whomever even though the extent of what they're doing is nothing more than a tweet or reddit comment. It's essentially the laziest form of faux activism that has no real impact on anything. Millions are starving, an entire country is on fire, our climate is fucked, but people can par themselves on the back because they tweeted about some comedians tweet from 10 years ago being "problematic."
