YouTube’s New “Ad 1 of 2” is completely unacceptable

I do not mind ads at the beginning or end of videos. I don’t even mind a mid-roll ad on videos 20+ minutes. What bothers me the most is the mobile app has a newish feature where it has a pop up that appears when certain ads roll and it boots me from where I was in the comment section all the way back up to the video description. I can just stop watching creators I think put too many ads but there is nothing I can do about the comment section boot and it isn’t the creator’s fault so imo would be wrong to use ad block and punish them for it.

Is anyone else experiencing this on the Youtube mobile app? I haven’t seen it really get mentioned anywhere.
