CIZÎRÊ, Til Temir / Hesekê – The battles between our forces of the People’s/Women’s Defense Units and Daesh terrorists, taking place on the western borders of Canton Cizîrê, are continuing nonstop up to this moment.

In the small hours of April 30, Daesh terrorists carried out an extensive attack deploying tanks, armored vehicles and heavy weaponry in the area between Til Temir and Hesekê, Cizîrê region. Consequently, severe clashes were experienced between our units and terrorist groups who had targeted the villages of Til Cedaye, Til Fweda, Til Dimşîd, Til Riman and Seyyad in the area.

Yesterday morning terrorist forces at first led an assault on Til Fweda, Til Cedaye, Til Dimşîd and Seyyad villages; active contacts with the terrorists were exercised in those locations until the late hours of night, particularly in Til Fweda village where the attackers had managed to infiltrate in. Conducting several counter-attacks, our forces eventually were able to expel the terrorists from Til Fweda after hours of fierce fights. Later the attackers attempted for another assault on that village from two axis, yet they were again effectively repulsed in light of a great resistance expressed by our Units.

Following the intense condition of that night, our troops launched an assault against a small terrorist-occupied village near Til Fweda, managed to oust the terrorists from the targeted point. Clashes on this area finally resulted in the killing of 38 terrorist fighters whereas 21 terrorists’ corpses were seized by our forces.

Simultaneous terrorist attacks on the village of Til Riman were appropriately responded by our Combatants. While 4 different suicide VBIED attacks were tried by the terrorists in that area during the day, 3 of the vehicles were targeted and detonated among the attackers; the 4th vehicle was damaged before reaching our forces’ fighting positions, and was captured by our forces. In this area another pick-up vehicle was also eliminated with the operatives inside.

Apart from the VBIED attacks, 8 terrorist members attempted to carry out suicide attacks against our forces. With a swift intervention from our side, all the eight suicide attackers were forced to blast their explosives without inflicting damage to our troops; these attacks were similarly foiled.

To rescue forces surrounded by our Units, the terrorists tried to infiltrate into the battlefield with an APC; yet they were heavily targeted by our alert combatants, lost a large number of their fighters; an APC of the terrorists was also captured by our forces. According to what has been confirmed, 27 more terrorist members were killed, 10 terrorists’ dead were left on the battlefield there. During the past 24 hours on the two fronts, 65 terrorists were confirmed killed.

Twelve of our Combatant Comrades who played a big role to repel the terrorist attacks in the cited areas, wrote yet another epic story of resilience, fought heroically, and were martyred on the fields of battle. Seven Comrades in Til Cedaye, three Comrades in Til Fweda, and two Comrades in Til Riman village were martyred in action fighting to the last breath. Clashes in the mentioned areas are continuing to happen to this time.
