The author is the only one who knows what will happen, but if you're going to seriously analyze in order to predict it is important (in my opinion) to pay attention to context. This is a vague comparison (could be exaggeration or a way to bait Kanoh) and most importantly based on "I saw one of his matches". I think that alone speaks for itself for anyone trying to argue about his strength.

A single character that has seen a single match of the 6th fang stated something fairly unlikely that would only help further his goal of recruiting Kanoh Agito.

Not trying to argue or talk about power levels or anything, just think it's an empty quote given the context and almost pointless to even try and predict before the reader has seen him fight.
