FADE IN:
INT. THE BATCAVE - NIGHT
A tall man paces back and forth in front of a sophisticated computer system. This is BRUCE WAYNE, the billionaire alter-ego of the vigilante known as THE GODDAMNED BATMAN. He speaks with a tone that is thoughtful, but also tense.
WAYNE: There was something about the way that Black Mask spoke... something familiar.
He turns to face two other men, each of them seated in utilitarian chairs. These are ALFRED PENNYWORTH, a butler, and DICK GRAYSON, also known as ROBIN.
ALFRED: An old acquaintance, perhaps?
WAYNE: Or a new incarnation of an old adversary.
Wayne approaches his computer. He presses several buttons, calling up images of villains he has previously encountered.
WAYNE: (CONT'D) The only problem is that nobody matches the profile.
A sudden look of suspicion crosses Grayson's face. He speaks with a voice that is both guttural and nasal at the same time.
GRAYSON: Matt Damon!
ALFRED: A pattern, Master Dick? Do elaborate.
GRAYSON: Matt Damon!
WAYNE: It's possible... but not likely. Black Mask isn't the type to share power.
Grayson nods, but continues to explain his thoughts.
GRAYSON: Matt Damon!
WAYNE: He'd need a method of ensuring that everyone stayed loyal to him.
ALFRED: Yes, but as Master Dick suggests, that method could be his undoing.
GRAYSON: Matt Damon!
WAYNE: It's worth checking.
Wayne and Grayson both stand and move towards the place where their costumes are stored.
WAYNE: Hey, Alfred... what did one orphan say to the other?
Alfred raises an eyebrow.
ALFRED: A riddle, Master Bruce?
WAYNE: Humor me.
ALFRED: (Sighing) Oh, very well. What did one orphan say to the other?
Wayne turns to his companion.
WAYNE: "Get in the batmobile, Robin."
GRAYSON: Matt Damon!
FADE OUT.
