I'm a casual One Direction fan but I'm too old to consider myself a "Directioner" or get as wrapped up in the group as a good chunk of their fan base seems to be... so, please don't get pissed at me for this post, okay?

I have a serious question for you guys because I honestly don't know the answer -- Was Zayn one of the members whose sexual orientation has been speculated about? I'm not trying to insult him (because it shouldn't matter in 2015 anyway!). Or were there rumors that he hooked up with one of the other guys' girlfriends or something?

The Soundcloud image says. "When someone makes you the happiest person and the saddest person at the same time, that's when it's real. That's when it's worth something." The caption on Soundcloud says, "Let the music do the talking. there is nothing but love for what was left behind. thats why we don't mind."

Then the lyrics to the song seem to be all about unrequited love:
"We messed around until we found the one thing we said we could never ever live without. I'm not allowed to talk about it but I've gotta tell ya because we are who we are when no one's watching... I won't mind, even though I know you'll never be mine."

So... I'm genuinely curious to whether this Naughty Boy character is just trying to create buzz with drama OR if he left the group because of a forbidden romance circumstance (be it, bandmate OR one of their exes OR someone the label thought would be bad publicity, whatever) that was just hurting him so much that he finally decided he needed to get himself out. All the captions and lyrics and commentary from the people involved over the last week just really seem like one of those situations where you can't be with the person you love for whatever reason... so you try to be friends but it's just too difficult and you eventually just cut ties to spare yourself the heartache... but there aren't ever any hard feelings towards one another over it.
