I personally am very fine with a main 3D game coming out approximately every five years with a remake and a top-down Zelda in between.
What makes Zelda so special for me is that every game is extremely different from all its predecessors with unique look, feel and gameplay. I would absolutely not want them to reuse assets or game mechanics to release new games faster.
However, something else really concerns me. That is when a Zelda game releases during the life of a console. Both TP and BotW were developed primarily for the previous generation and then ported over to current one. If this trend continues, Zelda will always lag a generation behind.
BotW for example didn't utilize any of the console exclusive features (gamepad, HD-rumble) and there was hardly any visual difference between the two versions despite the Switch being quite a bit more powerful.
As they couldn't create BotW on the Wii due to power limitations I don't think they could for instance make a full game with Wii-U Zelda tech-demo graphics for the Switch.
I really hope they decide to develop the next Zelda game directly for the Switch's successor.
