They're just waiting for russkies to tire themselves out trying to take over villages over and over again with heavy losses. No point in launching massive counter offensives and risking massive casualties when you can just wait and let your opponent run himself into a corner.

Once ruskies start seriously lacking ammunitions due to their supply lines getting more and more mangled and moral falls to all time low...then is a good time to bring down the hammer.

I think if they take Kherson at some point it will basically be gg for Putin. I don't think his propaganda people can sell that. Put down 100K+ people just to lose the only strategic point you gained in the war.
