Zelenskyy: if we are offered to join NATO tomorrow, we will join. But this won’t happen

This whole thing could’ve been avoided if we just did what Macron said and made an EU security architecture including Ukraine, that was less US dominated, and less militarized. Putin (the fucking devil) would’ve accepted that.

Obviously Crimea and the Eastern regions would still have to be negotiated, and we (the US) could help Ukraine get leverage to negotiate, and get most of what it wanted later. Putin also said he doesn’t care if they join the EU.

This whole thing could’ve been avoided and honestly it upsets me. Putin is awful and the invasion is all his fault/his choice, but was this worth it? No.

It’s like, imagine if the United States is a cashier, and some thief comes in the store and points a gun at a customer’s foot and says “I’m gonna shoot this guy if you don’t make sure he doesn’t buy a Snickers.” Then the US goes, “We can’t do that. He has the right buy a Snickers and should not have to buy a Twix instead.”

Then the guy gets shot. It’s just not worth it. Just give him a fucking Twix, and we’ll negotiate our way forward later. A war is NOT worth it. It wasn’t even necessary to get what Ukraine wanted.

The fact is that for the last 8 years no one did anything and just left the Russia-Ukraine issue as a frozen conflict. No one even tried to fix the issue. Not the EU, and especially not the United States and it’s “National Endowment for Democracy” based foreign policy. Look up what that organization does. Real nice.

Since 2014, US and UK just sent military, CIA and MI6 to prepare Ukraine to fight a war. No diplomacy. No negotiation. Nothing. Just “Let’s intentionally push Ukraine into a fucking war with Russia.”

I’m sorry, but in my opinion, that’s fucking stupid.

Meanwhile we have climate change, global starvation, etc. and now the US is wasting taxpayer money on the biggest polluter on Earth, the US military, itching for a fucking nuclear war with China.

The Taiwan issue is another example of something where peaceful negotiation (with the HELP and LEVERAGE of the US would be helpful) is needed. We don’t need to push Taiwan into a Chinese invasion to secure its independence. It can be negotiated. China is afraid to lose something. We have to find out what that is, in order to negotiate at all. But the US just wants a war? It doesn’t want to negotiate or understand anything.

Why? Because that’s what congress-member’s donors want. That’s what the totally unaccountable US “national security” & defense contractor empire wants.

This latest tragedy is just $$$$$$$$.
