Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet Show Up At CinemaCon To Show Off ‘Dune: Part Two’ Trailer

You don't have to be a long time fan of Dune to not like the movie. In fact, I'm a huge Denis Villeneuve fan and when I learned he was going to adapt Dune, which I had never read, I knew I had to before seeing the movie. I read the book right before watching it and I absolutely hate the movie. It's all style over substance to me. I don't recognize the characters at all, you're not being told enough how absolutely crucial water is on the planet, there's barely any emphasis put on the ecology of the planet... It's just way too different for my taste.

Granted, it is very hard to adapt to film because so much of the books' lore is done with internal dialog, but still. The movie looks great, big Hollywood score, cinematography and costumes... but that's it for me.
