I think the biggest problem is it really telegraphs what they're gonna do. Goldberg will likely not lose it until Mania, because he's a big draw and that's what you want. And also the most likely guy to take it off him is Roman. The marketing sells itself SPEAR VS SPEAR. I suppose it's not guarantee, it just seems like the likely outcome. In doing this it also spoils and kind of ruins EC. Because the winner gets the shot at the title, so it has to be Roman. So now you have the next 2 big main events ruined.

I guess with the Fiend you could say you know he's gonna lose depending on if Roman won EC, but before he lost to Goldberg, you probably didn't think Roman was guaranteed to win.

I'm with another poster, I hope Corbin wins EC and takes the strap from Goldberg. Fuck it.
