Did JapanCircleJerk get banned?

I remember back around 2015 when japanlife pretty much was just a feeder sub for JCJ. It was insane, you'd just be having a normal conversation, then someone would crosspost your comment to JCJ with some insane title accusing you of trying to commit a crime or of being a sexpat or some random thing, they had a bot set up to username ping you to make sure you saw it, and then everyone on JCJ would start clicking through the link and attack you on JCJ. The mods were all in on it, and often joined in. Hell, japanlife even tried to assuage JCJ by making a JCJ mod a mod on japanlife - but she immediately went around harassing people and permabanning people for insulting JCJ, and got removed within a week or so, and then JCJ threw a year-long shitfit about it.

It was absolutely and utterly insane, and JCJ has been a parasitic leech on japanlife for years. It's actually only recently gotten tolerable, partially from japanlife finally putting some rules on people using JCJ to harass and brigade - and also partially from reddit admins finally putting restrictions on the sub.
