I have to be honest: I very much doubt that anything like this is going to happen. Only thing I'm actually really sure about here is that she wouldn't wanna let him go. I only came up with this because I thought: What would need to happen so that the Elf suffers the least once Uncle leaves her world? Because we know for a fact that he leaves her behind - be it because of her death or whatever other theories are floating around. I figured being forced to forget would hurt less than being left behind and left longing for the rest of her days.
Oh and the Elfs head necklace is definitely a huge Chekhov's gun waiting to happen. It's way too suspicious for her to have an accessory that blocks mind magic when the magic is as rare as it is and Uncle is its most known user (>! yes, I didn't forget about the Bishop and the manifestation of God's wrath, I know !<).I also thought that this would just be really fun to draw, even though I suck at it, so yeah.Originally I planned to include an already unconscious Mabel and Alicia (since they aren't nearly as strong as Elf), which is why there is this much empty space, but I figured that1. Uncle only ever meets those two by chance, while Elf actively stalks him, so they might not even be there when he leaves;2. Mabel would be too scared to start a fight with Uncle and Alicia might just be happy for him for finding a way back to Japan;so I decided against it. I also would probably have committed sudoku if I had to draw another 2 faces.
