Can we get some eyes on this?

LONG READ. But necessary to understand the case, if you've never heard of it.

At the very least, this case was mishandled SEVERELY. Really, really, really severely mishandled. Pretty much a fucking mockery.

Ok, that is simply really, really, really the criminal justice system, nothing special about Daniel Holtzclaw. Doesn't make it right, wish it could be fixed.

I try to keep and open mind when investigating stories and let the facts and evidence lead me to my conclusions. However, I am partial to victims of violent crimes such as sexual assault and murder. So,I have my biases, to be fair.

For instance, the DNA analyst they used, she flat out refused to do saliva tests on his pants, even though many of the allegations centered around him forcing oral sex.

What are you alluding to? Unknown female DNA was found on his zipper area of his police uniform pants. It was later found to match a 17 year old victim who reported being sexually assaulted by LE, but nothing was done. Saliva tests, for what, The 17 yr old victim

There's also video evidence (from his own interrogation) of detectives handling his clothing barehanded and reaching into the evidence bag many times barehanded.

No one is perfect, I get it. Mistakes are made in every case. But, I fail to see how any of their mistakes got the young victims DNA on his zipper area of his pants.

Every bit of it looks bad.

Absolutely disagree. Not every bit looks bad.

I'm not sure what the intent, motivation or understanding of the case is of OP. The weak case OP made of defense, are technicalities offenders have gotten off on. If you have any daughters, nieces, God daughters e.g. and you'd let DH around them, you would be reckless and negligent in the least.

So, am I supposed to believe that of numerous, double digit accusers, the 13 that offered to testify in a grand conspiracy of OKC against DH? Not that conspiracy is a negative or bad thing, it's just not very likely in this case.

If a good investigator(s) would've done their jobs and investigated the numerous complaints made about him, we'd have fewer victims.

These Brave African American women and their e tyicommunities rallied around them and did a movement for a call to action. Action was the jury's 18 guilty counts

I believed there was something off about this case when I first heard it. Then I remembered, it's because we've conditioned ourselves in society, that LE's credibility should NOT BE questioned and a person with even a single arrest credibility SHOULD BE questioned.

After careful review, a fairly moderate level of intelligence and common sense, one can see what a skilled sexual Predator DH is. He has disturbing Personality traits, but let's stay with his actual charges.

For at LEAST six months, DH, systematically targeted his victims. He chose poor, African American women who had previous arrests in impoverished neighborhoods. He was careful for a time, he stalked them. Made contact with them outside of official business, ran unauthorized background and warrant checks on the women.

DH, like typical behavioral habits, got sloppy and he made a fatal mistake. It was the arrest of a 57yr old woman, I'm not naming her, you can look it up. I like to respect victims privacy.

The offense that led to Holtzclaw's arrest happened around 2:00 a.m. on June 18, 2014, after Holtzclaw had already completed his shift on the northeast side of Oklahoma City and was driving to his residence in his assigned police vehicle.

During that time, police said, Holtzclaw made a traffic stop without reporting to police dispatch, running a records check on the driver, or revealing that he logged off of his patrol car computer. The driver was a 57-year-old woman who was passing through the impoverished area that police said Holtzclaw was targeting.

Unlike other women that police said he had accosted, she was not poor and had no police record. The victim said that before forcing her to perform oral sex on him, Holtzclaw made her lift her shirt and pull down her pants. Shetestified that she had begged him to stop and was afraid for her life. The woman promptly filed a police report.

IMHO, When you are in a community services position or public Office your integrity being intact is crucial to your reputation and credibility.

One of my favorite quotes, and a bit of an oxymoron when you hear it from a politician.

"If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity nothing else matters." - Alan Simpson

Since when does a politician or lawyer not lie? It's their professional job to steer you away from the truth, manipulating the statements or facts of a case e.g.

You either have it or you don't. Integrity cannot be sorta, kinda, maybe. It's a definite thing

You cite things such as victims not describing him correctly, height, race e.g. Being pulled over by LE can be pretty terrifying but being raped by a police officer can be severely traumatic. Victims who suffer PTSD will almost likely suffer memory loss. The one most commonly affected by psychological trauma is long-term memory.

Victims will have missing memories, changes to memory, intensified memories – all are cases of manipulations of long-term memory.

So, I make nothing of their discrepancies or inconsistencies of the victims stories in general, TBH, they will all vary in large and small levels.

It's the number of complaining victims and the positive identification of DH as the perpetrator.

It's a slippery slope in dealing with these types of crimes. Without a video or 3rd party witness it comes down to he/she said. It was DH own behaviors, retracing DH own movements, warrant and background checks, pull overs, contact e.g. that matched DH stops and GPS collaborating victims statements that ensured his 18 convictions, over 200 years in prison. I'm personally satisfied this guilty sexual Predator is behind bars.
