That contact... “Federation Unite!”... in Ceos is ALSO the controlling faction in Sothis. Sothis is their home system. NOT CEOS. This means they should be able to be pushed back in to Sothis and also that they can be taken out of controlling status there. If the theory holds that they are Lore based then they should not be able to be driven out entirely and definitely never killed. They WILL go into bust (if I’m right) VERY SOON. Here’s the thong though... did they trigger bust based on Ceos or Sothis? I believe it has to be based on Sothis... now as to the why I really do not know. BUT... I do know if faction is in a state in their HOME SYSTEM then the state extends to every system they are in. The reverse does NOT hold true. That is to say, if Ceos has gone in to investment on its OWN terms from those Sirius Atmospheric missions be looped by everyone, then they would not be in INVESTMENT in SOTHIS as a DIRECT result of that.
I need to load the game up later and see what type of missions they are giving out on the main mission boards on both systems to do a direct comparison.
Sadly however, I do NOT KNOW what was going on over in Sothis that would have caused them to enter investment. I do NOT know what will happen, according to BGS, to their contact in Ceos if Sothis ends up going in to bust and failing thus putting them both in to retreat... my general FEELING is that Ceos will have to collapse back in to Sothis. AND THAT SUCKS for everyone who missed out on the easy reputation grind.
I also do not know if F’dev is PURPOSELY messing with those two systems because of the advertisement of the Federal rank loop on Reddit. I was, admittedly, NOT paying enough attention to Sothis and Ceos as I should have been simply because they are a microcosm with only ONE major power representative.
They moved the station in LQ Hydrae to around 14kLs from the star instead of where it was at +200kLs... anyone else notice THAT???
Assuming that Ceos collapses back in to Sothis after FAILING their investment state and after FAILING their bust state... the only way to bring that “magic” loop back is to expand them back in to Ceos, succeed in giving them the maximum control % possible, support them through boom and then go BACK in to expansion BUT TO DO SO VIA SOTHIS so that BOTH systems get the EXPANSION status.
I need to pay more attention to them.
