I'm a primary teacher with children coming in with traditional names however they aren't being taught that that is their name... Elizabeth for example has never been called that in her life, she is Betsy, parents have said for Betsy be used as her name on all things. I have 5 cases like this Henry is known as Harry, Constance as Connie etc. These children are going to have to learn how to write two different names, if you wanted Harry call him Harry not Henry. Why make a middle man?

I totally agree with the stupid spellings of names Teileigh Koazy I think they're making their child's life hard for no reason but Joey really doesn't fall under that bracket I don't feel. If you asked someone to write Joey, that would be the assumed way.
