Doesn't context matter here?

Like one is a historic protest against a systemic problem that is likely only happening because so many people are unemployed and able to make their voice heard. Those protests are also not being endorsed as safe or even wise, but health officials understand that they are important. They will go down in history alongside other major movements. They have already been the largest and most widespread demonstrations in history.

The other is thousands of people getting together to yell and cheer for the stream of consciousness garbage from a malignant narcissist while being encouraged not to wear a mask or follow any guidance.

Love Trump or hate him, hearing him yammer on for an hour or two is certainly not comparable to record-setting historical protest. It just isn't important, it is the same reason the protestors for haircuts were mocked. Their issue is not objectively valuable, it is subjectively important to them, but it is objectively trivial and meaningless. You can go watch any of the hundreds of other previous Trump rallies and get 90% the same experience. Similar protests against systemic injustice have literally never happened in all of history.
