I honestly didn't anticipate all this negative feedback, for free lingerie. I understand the hesitation, but it's completely legit. I've PM'd a few of the people in this thread, who can now confirm that it's legit. If you need a confirmation, just PM me, and I'll get back to you. Realize that I have 129 messages in my inbox :I though. I now realize that I should have been upfront, with the fact that my friend owns this boutique, and I wanted to surprise her. I'm thinking I should try this again, with hopefully less negativity.
There is no subscription fee or anything. She just wants subscribers' emails before she launches, so she's offering something that she can provide, with the help of the lingerie supplier involved. Somehow, even though I only had 12 up-votes (at the time of posting) she received 416 email subscribers last night, just from this thread. She's dying right now, of excitement. She wants to launch early now! So, thanks guys, you did it!!!! :) :) :) :) :) If you subscribed, you'll get an email when the store launches, so don't worry.
The sandals are from a person that hand makes them in Sarasota, Florida. He's an Italian, with "Brazilian flare" that lived in Israel, and Nepal for quite some time - making sandals for villagers. His stuff has rhinestones, and crystals embedded in the fabric of the straps. These are mostly beach-style sandals. Prices are between $14.95 - $44.95.
They also carry regular sizes of all of the lingerie and swimwear, upon request.
My friend is plus size herself, and admitted that she set it up to be funny, even though she is fully committed to the selling of lingerie, swimwear, and sandals. She said there aren't enough options, for clothing or anything, for plus size women. Plus, she's a big fan of Tess Holliday, and thought it would be a great satire on modern "shaming culture," and that she could bring awareness to that issue, while doing something productive for everybody who enjoys good lingerie, and donating the proceeds of her satire to a good cause: the whale and dolphin conservation society.
