Does anyone know why Chef Ramsay chose Amber over Nikki for the final black jacket?

Actually, I was in a restaurant that was filmed in an episode of “Kitchen Nightmares” and even interacted with Chef Ramsay (which unfortunately didn’t make the edited cut). What you saw filmed was what really happened. There was no need to manufacture drama because the actual situation inherently had drama. Things in Levanti’s restaurant really were that bad! Now while I acknowledge that editing for a show like “Hell’s Kitchen” is geared towards drama, it’s safe to assume that when you sequester in dormitory style 18 chefs who all have big egos and big ambitions, all competing together with high stress, little sleep, and lack of family support—there’s going to be drama regardless regardless of editing.

From what I believe I know about Chef Ramsay’s character, he cares deeply about who runs his restaurants, and wouldn’t choose a winner from finalists that he didn’t feel were talented. So I was genuinely surprised that Amber was chosen over Nikki. He must have had a good reason for his decision other than creating drama. I just wish he would have commented on his decision like he normally does.
