Why don't people hold Reasonable Doubt against Jay like they do Nas and Illmatic?

Lol listen, I said illmatic is one of the most influential albums in hip hop. That’s it. I didn’t say anything about sales or about it flopping or any of that shit. No one is saying Reasonable Doubt isn’t a classic or isn’t influential, I never said 36 Chambers wasn’t influential lol. You’re pulling quotes out of thin air. What I said, and what basically everyone in this thread is saying, is that Illmatic is a massively influential album and that it changed a lot in hip hop. That is objectively true. You literally commented “illmatic didn’t change hip hop”. I’m not sure why you are determined to die on this hill because you clearly seem like a huge Nas fan. There’s nothing wrong with just admitting yeah it’s a super important and influential album lol
