Russia is top U.S. national security threat: Gen. Dunford

You have valid points.

It appears there is no right or wrong in the current state of affairs and so your observation is correct . I don't think this means there cannot be a right or wrong path . For example it is now 2015 and we have progress X and advancements Y. Human civilization let's just measure the last 2,000 years. Was it absolutely necessary that it would take 2015 years to get where we are today ? If there were better decisions made along the historic trail, according to a certain morality we can measure , whether it's in 250-300 AD, 1400-1500 AD, or in the last 50 years could our current state of affairs be more advanced or more barbaric ? I do not like brining up WW2 often , but do we not measure this period based on Hitlers morality and the rise of fascism which receives a negative view ? The U.S. Has made tactical mistakes in geo politics and power politics especially in the 2004-2008 range , but foreign policy had been largely driven by a certain morality which we can break down in another comment . The morality behind using nuclear weapons exists and if not then why not use them to eliminate existential threats ?

I would argue Georgia and what may occur in Ukraine is because of Russian policy with a pattern that is observable . What is Russia's incentive to hold its current position ? The stated reason is "NATO enlargement" fears of and a first strike attack and this causes Russia to freeze areas for no further development. NATO has no precedent to attack Russia and Russia has stated it would respond with nuclear tactical strikes. NATO has no precedent of deliberately harming areas it is trying to develop so why would NATO initiate an act of aggression for a Russian response that is already stated and very transparent . Russia's response in Ukraine follows a different standard and if this standard were replicated by the coalition in Syria then Russia would complain and threaten an unjustified retaliation once you factor double standards.

You are correct about my shill comment and generally I do not make comments targeting shills . The fact is Russia does have an Internet army and on this article in particular on that specific time period they were active . I will not call them out again and this is my first time addressing Russia's global double standards as they have been emerging more noticeably as of late . In the past I have respected Russia and Putin for specific reasons and good decisions based on what I perceived to be objective logic . I see this small period of logic used going away and the classic Soviet Russia mentality rising again.

In my defense , the Russian Internet army is real and they had been defending poor policy and addressing NATO policy with poor logic . Internet Armies are just as important as physical armies in many ways and I am criticising all bad policy and so why should the Internet Trolls not be identified ? But moving forward I will assume these posters are normal individuals hiding behind a computer screen.
