I think your math is wrong ("Think" is a good word becouse im not sure myself)

Number of matrixes = 4000*(lvl-5) (Univerese matrixes start from lvl 6)

Now if we factor the efficiency we get

4000*(lvl-5) * q^lvl wich produces 1/q^lvl ores per one ore

but if we factor previus efficiency we get that amount of ore from this single research is 1/q^lvl - 1/q^(lvl-1)

To get the infinite resources you need to use less than you produce from single research
