Trump very clearly said he condemned white supremacy. He fumbled his words in response to Wallace’s follow up question and said “stand back and stand by”... a phrase that is a clear misspeak because it literally doesn’t make any sense.

The below is a direct quote. I’d link to a video but I’m sure you can find it fairly easily.

Wallace: Will you stand here today and condemn white supremacy?

Trump: (quickly and emphatically) YES. (This should’ve been all anyone needed to hear)

Wallace: Will you tell hate groups and militia groups to stand down?

Trump: Name a group. Name one. Who do you want me to denounce?

Biden: Proud Boys

Trump: Proud boys, stand back and stand by. There you go is that what you wanted?

(No follow up to that statement by either Biden or Wallace because it was that obvious that he misspoke)

The conspiracy theories and fear mongering need to stop, everybody. There are people living in literal fear because of the hate-fueled rhetoric that is spread in places like this.
