Anyone move into Seoul after teaching outside of Seoul/Gyyonggido?

I would say I'm a bit picky, yeah, haha. I feel like you should be in terms of jobs, especially in Korea. I know some people don't have the luxury of being picky, of course.

If you have the funds and time to play the waiting game, go for it. Had I jumped at the contracts that were offered to me, I probably would have ended up at a hellwon. Just make sure you ask a lot of questions, and are firm about what you do and don't want in a contract. You'd be surprised at the illegal and immoral bs schools try to sneak in.

Oh, for sure. I'm the same way. I like for things to be close. All my coffee, medical, shopping, government (with the exception of immigration because they like to put those offices in the middle of nowhere) and hobby needs are within a 10-minute subway from me. Just don't let that stop you from traveling outside of your bubble/Seoul, of course!

And no problem. If you have questions about Seoul, let me know. I just moved here, but I used to spend weeks at a time here on vacation before I moved to Korea, so I like to think I know a thing or two ;p. If not, good luck~
