WTW for when learning a new concept "disturbs/upsets" your understanding of previously learned concepts?

Yesterday I made a post on the "+s version" of this subreddit (the one with an "S" at the end but otherwise has the same exact name as this subreddit) and I somewhat made a fool out of myself because I thought that Jesus was speaking to his disciples in the 82nd chapter of Psalm and part of me feels like had I gotten my "facts straight" my thread which only received +3 votes may have received +30 upvotes instead!

For example, I grew up in the 90's and if someone told me "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this." then I would immediately know who the speaker was and the intended audience for that message. Some people (who are far, far superior Christians than me) probably have the same ability to hear any of the 100-200 most famous bible verses and instantly be able to recall who said it and who that person was talking to. For example, if they hear "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men", they will instantly remember that it was Jesus and the person he was talking to was Simon/Andrew. Strangely (although stranger things may have happened), this is the only bible verse to ever appear twice in the bible: Matthew 4:19 and Mark 1:17

If you're like me, when you click on a link it opens up a "wormhole/rabbit-hole" where the new information you are now reading "deletes" from your mind the original intent of what it was you are searching. Yesterday a kind gentleman on the [WTW](r/whatstheword) subreddit
