do zero possess some magical powers???

ZERO Zero,an aberrant number, isn't it? I mean just look at it.It's a shape,a circle. How can a circle be a number? And yes,if a circle can be a number then why not a square,a rectangle or a triangle? This circle is a stupefaction. It's a repository of mysteries. It's ludicrousness often obfuscate me and the most peculiar thing is its additive property. You add zero to a number,we get the same number.Does this show it does not have ant effect on the number. If it's so,then why putting a zero after 9 becomes 90 while it remain same if we put it before 9.Perplexed..!!!

Adding zero to itself thousand times remains zero.does it imply that all our toil of adding thousand times went in vain? And now the bigger question that springs is why adding zero to itself thousand times does not yield a big zero and adding two or three times a smaller zero? Then comes the multiplication dilemma.Multiplying anything with zero results zero?why is it so?why does not it yield to some other number?why multiplying 999 with zero is the same as multiplying 9 with zero? Does this show that the other 2 nines in 999 were useless?

And on the contrary, dividing by zero leads to infinity. How can a mere number reinforce another number to be the biggest one? Do 'zero' possess some magical powers?
