Is English your first language? Look, when we're talking about two groups, in this case Muslims and Non-Muslims, "you" is an appropriate to refer to the person on either side. So, for me, if you said "Americans went into Iraq and you did more harm than good", "you" doesn't refer to literally me given than I was never in Iraq and I don't support it.
