Has anyone started their own business?

I've started different businesses, and now I'm on a new one. Office rented, started getting employees. I'm 25 now, and I quit school at 18 to start learning/testing/failing in different businesses.

I'll tell you this. Starting your own business sucks, it's hard, it can be years of immense hard work, stress - you will likely fail a few times, you won't have time for anything else (if you take your business seriously enough), and some days you will likely deal with quite a bit of self doubt.

For me, there has been many times where the thought of jumping off a very tall bridge was comforting...

But, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm working towards building a business, one where employees are able to work - get paid well - and I earn money. Rather than to build a "business" where I'm nothing more than self-employed.

The goal of financial and time-wise freedom makes all of this more than worth it.

It's hard as fuck, specially if like me - you don't have anyone in your family with business experience who can mentor you, but I would sooner die than to give up completely and settle for a job for the rest of my working life.
