She may.... but one thing is for sure.... the way she has interrogated the extremist upstarts trying to trigger war.... she says "Have you actually killed a person before? Have you ever heard bones being smashed? Have you ever seen your parents or siblings being crushed in a crumbling building right before your eyes? Have you seen a piece of your lover's flesh being stuck to a wall? Have you ever smelled festering flesh? Have you ever stewed human flesh in a pot?"

She is probably telling this in detail because she might have had first hand experience of the horrors of war as an adult. Remember Loid was a child when the war broke out.... he is not old enough to remember the true horrors that Sylvia was able to witness and live through.

We can speculate based on what her graphic descriptions that she probably would've lost her husband, her daughter, her parents, siblings to airstrikes or artillery strikes etc. She would've seen the torture of her fellow Westalian citizens by Ostanian troops. She would've witnessed serious cases of mass starvation.... i.e entire cities having their food supplies cut off to the point where they were reduced to cannibalism. Just all horrors of war. I think her description is still the tip of the iceberg.
